Against the LA Lakers, Nikola Jokic was playing so well that he made an incredible buzzer-beating 3-pointer. Jokic successfully made a shot over Anthony Davis to end the third quarter.
Jokic was forced to heave a three-pointer from beyond the arc with the third quarter nearly over. Davis had him completely covered, but the shot still went in as the Ball Arena crowd in Denver erupted.
Even Davis had to grin when Jokic stole the show. Going into the final frame, the Nuggets had a 12-point advantage.
The Denver Nuggets held on, though, to win 132-126 and take a 1-0 series lead thanks to Nikola Jokic.
Jokic had 34 points, 21 rebounds, 14 assists, and two blocks in the final stats. He and Davis squared off, with Davis playing his best postseason game.
Davis led the Lakers with 40 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks.
Austin Reaves scored 23 points and had eight assists, while LeBron James added 26 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.
With 17 points in 28 minutes while playing off the bench, Rui Hachimura also had a huge game.
