Marcus Smart had a message for the Miami Heat during the shootaround on Tuesday morning before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals:
"Don't let us get one," Smart pleaded. Just don't allow us to obtain one.
Given that the Celtics were down 3-0 going into Game 4 of this best-of-seven series—a deficit that 150 teams have faced throughout the course of NBA history,
But a few hours later, Smart and the Celtics kept their end of the bargain, defeating Miami 116-99, sending the series back to Boston for Game 5 on Thursday,
With 11 points and six assists in 35 minutes, Smart said, "Now we just have to go win another one."
Boston repeatedly struggled to handle trying circumstances, and as a result, found itself down 3-0 going into Game 4.
